Biathlon World Championships schedule for today. Small crystal globe

The Biathlon World Cup 2019/2020 promises to be as interesting and unpredictable as possible. Although Martin Fourcade about unpredictability men's biathlon I bet he's won the Big Crystal Globe for the last five seasons in a row. Will he be able to extend his incredible record-breaking streak? Will the ambitious Johannes Boe and Simon Schempp be able to overthrow the French champion from the biathlon throne? Or maybe our Anton Shipulin and Evgeniy Garanichev will compete for victory?

IN women's biathlon the 2019/2020 season will be even more exciting. Gabriela Soukalova, who became Gabriela Koukalova after her marriage, will try to defend her debut title, which she won last season. Bookmakers doubt the Czech biathlete's repeated success, believing that Laura Dahlmeier and Marie Dorin-Habert have a better chance of winning the trophy. Or maybe Kaisa Mäkäräinen, who failed the previous season, will take the leading position? Either the one who missed it will become the queen last season young mother Daria Domracheva? The Italian beauty Dorothea Wierer cannot be discounted either.

In addition to the fight for the Big Crystal Globe, biathletes will fight hard for the Small Crystal Globes, because each athlete has his own strengths which they try to implement to the fullest. Some people like sprints, where you have to give your all from start to finish, while others prefer long individual races, where they have the opportunity to get ahead of faster-footed opponents through clean shooting. There are also athletes who prefer contact wrestling on the track and shooting ranges, successfully performing in pursuit races and mass starts. Let’s not forget about everyone’s favorite relay races, where we cheer and worry about our teams. Also on the calendar are the mixed relays and mixed doubles that have taken root in the championship. In addition, do not forget to monitor the situation in the Nations Cup, which determines what quota each team will receive for the next season, and this is very important.

The season promises to be the most interesting, so you simply cannot miss it. Rifles for battle and fair wind for shots to our biathletes!

As a result, Dahlmeier became the overall winner.

The best of the Russians was Tatyana Akimova, who took 16th place in the overall standings.

In addition to the overall standings, Martin Fourcade also took first place in the small World Cup standings, namely in the individual race, sprint, and pursuit. Transfer of the World Cup stage from Tyumen to Kontiolahti

The eighth stage of the World Cup was to be held in Tyumen. In December, the data of the second part of the report of the independent commission of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) led by Richard McLaren was made public. After this, WADA handed over to the International Biathlon Union (IBU) a list of 31 Russian biathletes suspected of violating anti-doping rules. And then the Russian Biathlon Union refused to hold the World Cup stage in Tyumen. The stage was moved to Finnish Kontiolahti.

Scandal at the World Championships in Austria

During the mixed relay at the World Championships in Hochfilzen, Austria, Frenchman Martin Fourcade interfered with the transfer from third to fourth between Russians Alexander Loginov and Anton Shipulin by stepping on the first's ski. Later, Shipulin, on Match TV, condemned the actions of Martin Fourcade, admitting that he had “completely lost respect for him.” Fourcade himself, through a commentator on the same channel, conveyed words of apology for his actions, saying that he hit Loginov unintentionally. However, the story continued. Before the start of the awards ceremony, Russian biathletes shook hands with both German and French athletes, except Fourcade. He defiantly left the ceremony, but was stopped by the president International Union biathletes (IBU) Andres Besseberg.

Earlier, Fourcade responded to a message from the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), which congratulated Loginov on Instagram on his birthday, who had just recently triumphantly performed at the 2017 European Championships. Fourcade left a comment here with the words “One of Loginov’s main trophies is disqualification for EPO.” The Frenchman soon deleted this message.

Shipulin overtook Fourcade and won the pursuit race on March 18, 2017 at the KM biathlon stage in Oslo

Russian Anton Shipulin won gold in the pursuit race at final stage Biathlon World Cup in Oslo-Holmenkollen, Norway.

Shipulin covered the distance in 32 minutes and 11.9 seconds, making only one mistake.

The Russian reached the final milestone in the company of Martin Fourcade and Johannes Boe, but unlike his rivals he never missed a beat.

The Frenchman finished second, 5.7 seconds back, the Norwegian third.

Biathlon World Cup 2017, mixed relay, results today 02/09/2017: Russia won bronze

On February 9, 2017, a mixed relay race took place at the Biathlon World Championships in Hochfilzen, Austria, where the German team celebrated the victory.

Biathlon, results of the mixed relay 02/09/2017: gold - Germans, Russia - third

On February 9, 2017, the Biathlon World Championships started in Hochfilzen, Austria. On the first day of the 2017 World Cup, a mixed relay race took place at a distance of 2×6 + 2×7.5 km.

The Russian team, consisting of Olga Podchufarova, Tatyana Akimova, Alexander Loginov and Anton Shipulin, won bronze medals.

And the winners in the relay race were the athletes of the German national team. In second place is the French team led by Martin Fourcade.

Olga Podchufarova, who ran in the first stage, did an excellent job shooting, without making a single mistake, but still brought Tatyana Akimova, who started from the second stage, half a minute behind.

The leader of our women's team, despite making a mistake on the stand-up, managed to win back a few seconds during the race and passed the baton at the third stage to Alexander Loginov, having already moved from 10th to 5th place.

The best beatal player of the European Championship held in Poland famously shot in the prone position, but made three mistakes in the standing position, causing Russian fans to worry. But, given that the Norwegians and French went to the penalty loop, the Russian’s shooting is hard to call a failure.

Be that as it may, Loginov managed to pass the baton to Anton Shipulin, who ran in the final stage, already fourth, 47 seconds behind the leader at that time, German Arnd Pfeiffer.

Shipulin came to the prone stage together with the world biathlon leader, Frenchman Martin Fourcade. Both athletes shot synchronously to zero. Both also performed flawless standing shooting, leaving showdowns until the finish. Fourcade was stronger this time in the finishing line.

Let us note that when passing the baton at the final stage, Alexander Loginov fell, and there is a possibility that not without the help of Fourcade. A little later, the IBU Twitter posted a recording of the incident between Fourcade and Loginov.
