This is exactly how the sixth Children of Asia sports games will be held in Yakutsk. As the president of the international committee of sports games “Children of Asia” emphasized during the presentation, the movement that the games created comprehensively develops the human potential of Yakutia. Games make healthy and proud development paths for young people increasingly accessible. “We are witnesses to the fact that sports results are very often a significant factor in the future fate of a young person,” he stated.

The organizing committee of the VI International Sports Games "Children of Asia" has decided on the dates for large-scale competitions in 2016 - they will be held in Yakutsk from July 6 to 16.

Prime Minister of Yakutia Galina Danchikova, at a meeting with the participation of the heads of the Olympic Committees of Asian and European countries, noted that national teams from Russian regions, countries of the Asian continent, members of the Olympic Council of Asia will also be represented at the competition, and the Greek national team will also be represented.

“In total, these are 45 countries. Thousands of athletes will compete for the title of the best in 22 sports,” G. Danchikova specified.

She called the "Children of Asia" games the main social project of Yakutia, "which has made a significant contribution to the development of world children's and youth sports."

According to the decision of the organizing committee, all competitions within the framework of the International Games will be held in Yakutsk. For this purpose, 13 competition and more than 20 training facilities will be prepared. The winners will be awarded on Lenin Square. The orchestra is already learning the anthems of all participating countries in order to please the “gold” medalists with a “live” performance.

Two thousand volunteers will help young athletes and guests of the games.

According to tradition, the competition participants will be accommodated in the Olympic Village of the North-Eastern Federal University. Athletes are promised comfortable rooms and meals according to national preferences and individual dietary requirements.

In turn, the director of the Asian Games Department of the Olympic Council of Asia, Haider Farman, reminded the Interfax - Far East agency that the period of the Children of Asia Games coincides with the end of the celebration of Ramadan by Muslims, which is why, in his opinion, representatives of not all Asian countries will be able to come to the competition.

However, he still expressed hope that the representation of participants would be significant.

“Our trip is a continuation of cooperation between representatives of the Olympic committees and the organizers of the International Games. On behalf of the President of the Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, we want to show our support for Yakutia in organizing such a major event. He intends to visit Yakutia in the coming months . Including to discuss the volume of financial support,” said H. Farman.

As reported, on July 20-23, the heads and representatives of the national Olympic committees of Asian and European countries visited Yakutsk in preparation for the upcoming VI International Children's Sports Games "Children of Asia" in 2016. The delegation includes members of the Olympic Council of Asia, the European Olympic Committees, the International Olympic Committee, the Russian Olympic Committee, and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.

International sports games “Children of Asia” play a significant role in establishing and strengthening friendly and partnership relations not only between sports and public organizations, but also government agencies in different countries, and primarily on the Asian continent. In this regard, direct participation of the governing bodies of sports federations in the preparation and conduct of the Games is very promising for the further development of sports included in the ISI “Children of Asia” program. Let us remind you that the Russian Drafts Federation took an active part in organizing the entire block of drafts competitions within the framework of the past Children of Asia Games, including in the formation of the judging corps, which worked without any complaints. In addition, a number of FCR leaders acted as officials on July 6. According to the organizers, the next Children of Asia International Sports Games are planned to be held in Mongolia - these large-scale competitions among young athletes will be held in Ulaanbaatar in 2020.
