    Puff out your cheeks as much as possible and press your palms against them. This resistance exercise should be done in 2 sets of 15 seconds. It greatly strengthens the nasolabial muscles and tightens the oval of the face.

    Pronunciation of vowels gives excellent results. Each one needs to be pulled for 10 seconds.

    Place your chin on your hands, open your mouth, pressing upward with your hands. Hold for 15 seconds.

There are many exercises that will allow you not to worry about a double chin, sagging skin on the cheeks and drooping corners of the mouth. The 2 main requirements are not to be lazy and do them regularly.

Lip massage

There is also a set of softer exercises that can be qualified as a massage, thanks to which we will get additional volume of the lips, correct their shape, prevent the appearance of facial wrinkles, and lift the corners:

    Imagine that you are wearing lipstick. Distribute the lipstick evenly by smearing it with your lips. As a result of friction, blood flow will increase, and most importantly, the muscles will work intensively. Perform 20 times.

    Make a dissatisfied grimace. Place your index finger in the center, pressing it onto your lips. Make 20 quick movements with your finger up and back to the starting position.

    Fold them into a tube and try to “draw” a figure eight with them. Do 20 sets. The movement is not very beautiful, but incredibly effective: it also trains the cheeks.

    Alternately bite the upper and lower lips.

Each movement should be done 20 times, massage should be carried out 1-2 times a day. After the first lesson, due to blood flow, the lips will become brighter, softer, and larger. The result will not last long, but after subsequent exercises at home (the course can last an unlimited amount of time), the result will be consolidated.

How to lift corners using makeup

If you have not yet achieved the desired result or drooping corners are given to you by nature, and not due to age-related changes or other factors, we suggest using some makeup techniques that can correct the situation. Competent makeup artists know exactly how to lift the corners of the lips using cosmetics. So:

    Using a transparent liner, carefully draw the contour of the lips and their surface. This will prevent the decorative lipstick from spreading and gathering in the corners, accentuating them.

    In this case, it is better to use ombre makeup, which is ultra-fashionable this season: pick 2 shades of lipstick of the same color, apply a brighter or darker one as a base. Using a clean brush, apply a less intense lipstick in the center and blend out 1-2 centimeters. This will level out problematic corners and also make the lips visually more voluminous.

    Do not extend the contour line to the edges of the mouth by a few millimeters.

    Use a contour pencil in a color that is as close to your skin tone as possible. With its help you can “draw” any lip shape. Make sure that the pencil is not too soft.

    If the corners are unsightly drooping, focus your makeup on the lower lip, highlighting it with either a lot of lipstick or a small accent with lipstick of a slightly brighter color. A small spot of gloss in the center of the lower lip is suitable for the same purpose.

    A clearly defined contour of the lower lip will help to visually raise the corners. It needs to be brought to the very corners.

To prepare and perform the exercise, you need a mirror, attention and careful monitoring of the progress of the workout, as well as a clean face and hands and, of course, the desire to achieve your goal. To learn how to perform the exercise correctly, without the risk of harming yourself, you will need 30-40 minutes. The exercise in the future will take about 1 minute, or a minute and a half if using audio support.

What this exercise can help you do:

  • lifting the descending corner of the mouth or preventing such descent;
  • reduction of the nasolabial fold and folds down from the corners of the mouth;
  • increasing the elasticity of the skin in the part of the cheek closest to the nose;
  • the ability to smile easily and not be afraid of such expressions of emotions.

The exercise is done in an isometric form: muscle strengthening occurs without stretching the skin.

The levator anguli oris muscle attaches to the bone in the canine fossa of the maxilla and is woven into the skin of the corner of the mouth. The muscle works by forming folds over the corner of the mouth.

This small paired facial muscle creates light, barely noticeable smiles. Often smiling people constantly use this particular muscle, and if the levator anguli oris muscle is used frequently or residual muscle tension is not removed from it, then, over time, the skin stretched by it forms permanent wrinkles above the corner of the mouth.

However, if the muscle is not used, then over the years the muscle will weaken and begin to sag downwards, stretching the skin. A weakening of the levator anguli oris muscle will lead to the corners of the mouth drooping downwards, the nasolabial fold to deepen, and the formation of skin folds below the corner of the mouth, which together will create a permanently tragic or dissatisfied expression on the face.

Training the levator anguli oris muscle will make it stronger, prevent drooping of the corners of the mouth, restore or maintain its normal position, prevent the formation or deepening of wrinkles and folds, eliminate abnormalities in local blood circulation and skin nutrition, slowing down the aging of the skin and improving the appearance of the skin closest to the nose cheek area. Training will make it safe to use the muscle to express smiles and joy, and then, probably, a smile will appear on your face more often. By learning to clearly feel the tension of the levator anguli oris muscle, you will learn to get rid of residual muscle tension, completely relaxing it immediately after use, and for this reason the skin will no longer stretch and create wrinkles.

Preparing for the exercise.

Part 1.

Imagine where the levator anguli oris muscle is located under your skin. With your mouth closed, lift the corners of your mouth upward (they will rise up and slightly towards your nose) and feel the tension above the corners of your mouth. Relax the muscle.

In order for a muscle to become stronger, it must be regularly strained as much as possible and then completely relaxed.

To get strong tension on this small muscle, you need to bite your lips with your teeth: unclench your teeth and pull your lips inward. But you can bite your lips in different ways. Find a position of the lips in which, raising the corners of the mouth upward, you could feel maximum tension above them (in this position, the lips are not drawn into the mouth very much, and the tension is felt from the corners of the mouth up and to the outer edges of the nostrils).

Now try to get as much tension as possible over the corners of your mouth. Do not stretch your lips to the sides. Tension should only be felt above the corners of the mouth. Mentally help the weaker (right or left) muscle so that you feel approximately the same tension above the corners of your mouth.

Relax the muscle, returning your lips to their normal position. Feel the flow of relaxation moving from your nose to the corners of your lips.

When you feel the corners of your mouth relax, you can be sure that you have completely relaxed the muscle.

Part 2.

Training of the levator anguli oris muscle should take place with its maximum tension, but with blocking its contraction with your fingers, preventing the skin from shifting and the formation of folds. The index and middle fingers are straightened and moved together (or the middle and ring fingers, if it is more convenient for you) with their pads they should press down and immobilize the muscle that lifts the angle of the mouth.

Looking at yourself in the mirror, place your fingers on your cheeks in the indicated manner, gently pressing them onto the skin. Unclench your teeth and pull your lips slightly inside your mouth as far as you feel comfortable. Pull the corners of your mouth upward as hard as you can, increasing the pressure of your fingers as the tension of the levator anguli oris muscle increases. But the finger pressure will still remain small, since this muscle is not very strong. The fingers should lie there and press inward with just enough force so that the muscle trembles from tension, but cannot contract and move the skin.

Look carefully in the mirror at the reflection of your face. This is the only way you can see the slightest shift in the skin and make adjustments to the position and work of your hands.

Exercise.

Looking carefully at yourself in the mirror, place your fingers in a way that is comfortable for you. The fingers lie softly and press slightly inwards.

In this exercise, you should try to move the corners of your mouth with your lips bitten upward (avoiding stretching to the sides) as much as possible, but they should remain in place, since the muscle that moves them in this direction, the levator anguli oris, is pressed by your fingers.

By increasing the tension of the levator anguli oris muscle, you also slightly increase the force of finger pressure. To help the levator anguli oris muscle tighten more, try to contract the muscle as you inhale. Mentally help the muscle try to overcome the resistance of the fingers. Pay more attention to the right or left muscle if you feel that one of them is weaker.

Carefully watch your face in the mirror: your face should remain tense but motionless during the exercise. Do not allow the muscles of your forehead, eyebrows and lips to tense. All facial muscles, except the levator anguli oris muscle, remain relaxed when tense.

Count down 6 seconds to yourself and, at the same time as you exhale, release tension from the muscle by slightly moving your fingers away from the skin of your face and returning your lips to their normal position. Feel the movement of relaxation from the edges of the nostrils to the corners of the mouth.

Repeat the exercise 4-5 more times with breaks of 2-3 seconds between tensions.

About training the muscle to lift the corner of the mouth, reduce the nasolabial fold and remove wrinkles near the mouth.

To perform such a task, regular training and patience are required to restore muscle position, local blood circulation and skin nutrition. To achieve these goals, it is advisable to do the exercise 5-6 times a week, gradually increasing the number of approaches to 10-12. With such regularity, a visible effect can be achieved after several months of training.

To maintain the quality of the skin of the cheeks, prevent drooping of the corners of the mouth, and prevent the increase in skin folds, it is enough to train 1-2 times a week.
