Eight Russians will now be able to pedal in Rio - two girls will compete in all sprint disciplines, two men qualified in the individual sprint, one of them will be lucky enough to compete in the keirin, and four cyclists will also compete for medals in the men's team pursuit.

Five Russians will be able to compete in equestrian competitions. Two qualified for dressage, and three more will form the eventing team, which will compete in both the team and individual events. For the first time since 1992, Russians were able to qualify for team equestrian competitions.

Let us add that we can already congratulate the fencers for winning the full quota of 16 people. Officially, the qualifications will end on April 4, but in the ratings by which the lists of participants are determined, no one will knock the Russians out of high positions.

In track cycling and equestrian sports the results have been summed up, but in a number of disciplines they have not yet been done.
